Workplace Wellbeing

Uplift and bring calm to your workplace. It's no secret that there are many benefits to doing yoga. There's a reason it's been practised for thousands of years! We want to outline what we believe is the most relevant of yoga's benefits to create a supportive, healthy, thriving workplace.

Reduced back pain.

In 2012 there was a study done in the UK on participants from a government office.
One group was given one 50-minute yoga class a week and reported significantly less back pain,
less stress and more concentration than the control group.

Less absenteeism.

Yoga in the workplace has been shown to reduce sick days and improve the immune system of
workers. A study in 2015 in Industrial Psychiatry also indicated that workers could regulate their
stress levels and emotions through mindfulness and yoga.

More clarity.

Yoga gives the mind time and space to process and relax. When a person is calmer, they can better focus, concentrate,
and make decisions with clarity.

Increased energy.

 Yoga during the workday is a great way to increase energy. Yoga helps to improve circulation, and as with any movement, yoga helps to uplift and invigorate. In class, we will also focus on breathing, which is a great way to energise.

Decrease tension and stress.

By giving workers a break during the day, a yoga class can be an excellent opportunity for people to take time out and reset from any stress. The breathing exercises also help to increase parasympathetic tone, which promotes healing and calm.

 

As a team, we have been offering yoga classes in the workplace to employers locally such as ETL, and nationally with Amazon.  We would be more than happy to arrange an instructor to your workplace, however, we have found that by giving staff access to all our classes, we can make yoga even more accessible to your team.

Our Offering

 

Our offer is to provide you and your team with access to all our online and in-person studio classes at a special rate. By paying this monthly rate, you and your team can choose as many yoga classes as you like per week and take part in our thriving community. We have many options per week, varying from sweaty vinyasa to bedtime restorative. There is sure to be something to accommodate the needs of your team, whether they are beginners or advanced!

Looking to provide your company and employees with more wellness support? 

Our 2-3 hour workshops have been designed to explore simple, relaxing and reviving wellbeing strategies that can be implemented straight away.

Designed and led by STUDIO 9 owner, Georgia Griggs, these sessions cover both a range of wellbeing practices to help tackle both mental and physical stresses, including Yoga movement, mindfulness & journaling techniques, breath work and meditation practices.
